I’m not a property manager, nor have I ever been. My career path began in accounting, where I obtained my CPA auditor designation. But life recently took me to a completely different world: that of real estate management software. Today, I contribute to the development of LeBonRegistre (affectionately known as TGR, for TheGoodRegister), the family business founded by my father almost 10 years ago. From the outset, LeBonRegistre has worked hand-in-hand with property managers to create software that truly meets their needs. This project, born of a desire to bring concrete solutions to the industry, is today at the heart of our commitment: to offer a Quebec-based tool that simplifies day-to-day property management.
From accounting to property management: a not-so-different challenge
As a CPA auditor, I’ve accompanied my teams in the field, managed customer requests, reviewed work while keeping an eye on the big picture, and looked after the well-being of my colleagues and customers. When you think about it, these responsibilities aren’t all that different from those of a property manager: juggling a multitude of tasks, meeting the expectations of various stakeholders and keeping operations running smoothly.
Simplifying for better management
Being a property manager means managing a high volume of information: contracts, maintenance requests, work follow-up, relations with tenants and owners. This data is often scattered across several platforms, emails and Excel files, making day-to-day tasks even more complex.
At LeBonRegistre, we have a clear mission: to use technology to make property management simpler and more efficient. With the new version of our software, we’ve centralized all essential information in one place, easily accessible via the cloud. No more digging through scattered files, or having to justify a detail in the event of a dispute: everything is at your fingertips for smoother management.
Efficiency at the heart of operations
One of the aspects I feel strongly about is optimizing processes to save time. By automating certain repetitive tasks, such as maintenance reminders or sending notifications to technicians and tenants, managers can concentrate on more strategic missions.
More efficient management also means better communication. Tenants want to be reassured that their requests are being dealt with promptly. Owners want to be kept informed without having to chase updates. Thanks to digital tools, this transparency is becoming the norm, reinforcing trust between all stakeholders.
A concrete example
Take preventive maintenance reminders. Automating these follow-ups and sending real-time notifications to the teams concerned considerably simplifies the process. Better still, interventions can be assigned to the right people according to their availability and location. The result: less stress, greater efficiency and a better experience for all.
A simplified vision for the future
Simplifying property management isn’t just about saving time and increasing efficiency. It’s also about reducing managerial stress, improving tenant relations and protecting property values. With the right software, day-to-day challenges become easier to overcome, leaving more strategic opportunities to explore.
As a CPA and entrepreneur, I’m convinced that technology must, above all, lighten the complexity of tasks, enabling managers to focus on what’s essential. By developing a Quebec solution with them, for them, we give them the means to face the future with greater serenity, efficiency and opportunities to explore.
